Celebrating National Mom’s Nite Out #NMNO15

Life in a House of Testosterone was selected to host a National Mom’s Nite Out (#NMNO15) Party by Mom Select and received a Mom’s Nite Out party kit with promotional items from MyPrintly, Bicycle Cards, Entenmann’s, and Mom’s Nite Out as a thank you and in exchange for this post. All opinions stated are my own.

Mom’s Night Out hit movie theaters last year on May 9, 2014, and you can best believe that several friends and I made a night of it! Dinner and drinks at O’Charley’s before the movie and then it was time to get our giggle on. So you can imagine how giddy I was at the prospect of kicking the testosterone out of the house for an evening and having the house to ourselves for a #NMNO15 House Party!

I spent the better part of the evening before and the day of cleaning and organizing, straightening and hiding. Our apartment is a good size for four people, but when you attempt to fit six or more people into the living room and dining room area, things can become a bit cramped.

I used my package of the HP Photo Cards to create my invitatons – they turned out beautifully and are a nice little keepsake for my guests to remember our evening by!

Everyone arrived, introductions were made, the men were banished from the apartment, glasses were filled and everyone collapsed with glasses in hand and breathed a sigh of relief. It had been a rather hectic day for just about all of us, so the party date and time was a welcome relief to everyone who attended! The munchies soon set in and we attacked the beautiful assortment of treats while we enjoyed each other’s company.

A very special thank you to all of the wonderful ladies who came out to enjoy a few hours away from being “mom” to let their hair down and relax! Ms. Sheila, Ms. Tonya, Ms. Joan, Ms. Brandy, and Ms. Angela! (Brandy is suspiciously missing from all of the photographs because she was acting as the photographer as I tended to my hostess duties).

The laughter was infectious, the discussions touched on every subject imaginable (and some you would not imagine in a million years), and the movie was as wonderful as I remembered! Over the course of the evening we managed to deplete the bar and most of the appetizers. We decided that we were going to wait for a few weeks and then have another Mom’s Nite Out and decorate our glasses before we filled them with wine!

Who said Mom’s Nite Out could only be once a year? We plan on making this a monthly gathering! It was a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with each other and relax and the perfect way to jump start our Mother’s Day weekends!
