BlueLounge Nest Tablet and Mobile Media Device Stand

Disclosure: I received the BlueLounge Nest Tablet and Mobile Media Device Stand free of charge for purposes of this review. I have not been paid for this review. The opinions in this review are my own, completely honest and unbiased.

I was thrilled when the fine folks at CableOrganizers.com asked me if I would like to review their feature product this month – especially when I learned it was a tablet stand! I have a case that I bought for my Acer IconiaTab200 from Amazon that, while I like for the protection, I do not like for the built-in stand feature. I can only use it one way, I cannot use it to stand the tablet up vertically, only horizontally.

Here is my new stand – still in the packaging:

I love the little tray in the back!

Comes in a variety of different colors and compact for easy carrying!
Features
  • Provides angled vertical or horizontal support for your iPad or other tablets, allowing for more efficient two-handed operation and convenient hands-free viewing
  • Rubber molding on the bottom and a pull-out brace provide safe mounting
  • Small footprint for low visibility while tablet is mounted
  • Back tray can be used to store keys, USB drives and other small items
  • Provides a streamlined look for your desktop
  • Great for taking perfect still pictures and stationary video
  • Will also mount iPods, Kindles, smartphones, and many other media players and tablets with similar form factors
  • Available in 6 vibrant colors to match almost any device and decor
Here’s my nest in action:

I absolutely love it. The Nest gets 4 out of 5 stars from me. The only alteration I would make to this product is to have it lean back just a bit more to make typing easier on the tablet. Naturally, if you have a wireless or bluetooth keyboard for your tablet, this is not a problem … but if you utilize the on-screen keyboard, it makes typing a bit awkward when still in the stand. I have to remove it from the stand in order to type using the on-screen keyboard.

Update 6/10/2013
I’m a dork folks (but you already knew that, right?) The Nest has been given 5 out of 5 stars – because silly me didn’t realize that I needed to lay it down like this in order to be able to type using the on-screen keyboard for my tablet.

Sigh … sorry about that BlueLounge! My bad!
