I hope that each of you have had a wonderfully blessed and happy Easter today. I cannot even begin to put into words how truly amazing I feel, knowing that my Lord and Savior that I love with all my heart, is risen from the grave. By his wounds, and his sacrifice for all mankind, we are healed. We are given God’s Grace and forgiveness.

Our Easter celebration today was bittersweet. My husband and youngest son and I enjoyed a breakfast brunch from Waffle House at home this morning and then we made the drive to see my eldest son in Newport News. He is currently receiving treatment for some mental health issues that he is dealing with, and we can only visit with him for two hours every Wednesday evening and for three hours on Sunday afternoon.
He’s been away from home since February 2017, and it hurts not having my child home.
So my faith in God has been the one constant that has kept me going for the past several months. I consider myself blessed to be a child of God. I am blessed to have each of you in my life, and blessed to have you along the journey of this blog with me.
I hope that you have had an amazing day with your family and friends, and that you realize how truly blessed you are as well – no matter what you may be going through each day – to have a Creator who is willing to forgive the imperfections and mistakes that we, as human beings, make each day.
Easter is such a special holiday for me. What a blessed gift for the cross. Jesus died for me. How great.
