How Much Can I Save on Tax-Free Weekend?

Let’s face it, if you pay a high state sales tax, then tax-free weekend is a financial relief for your screaming wallet when it comes to school shopping, especially with more than one child. Unfortunately, most stores don’t feature any huge sales or offer any discounts during tax-free weekend. While you might be tempted to stock up on jeans and hoodies for the teenagers, you might be better off waiting for Old Navy to have a store wide sale when you can get 30 to 50% off the merchandise. Don’t forget to keep an eye on our Coupon Central page for great deals!

Public Surplus Auctions

Did you know that most schools and government offices in your state will hold Public Surplus Auctions where you can pick up computers, vehicles, desks, and well – pretty much anything under the sun – at a fraction of cost? Most times you will need to arrange for pickup of the item you’ve purchased but the details of the item up for auction are always clearly listed.

Virginia – here is a list of all the Public Surplus Auctions going on right now that might interest you. If you want to find a list of auctions in your state, just go to PublicSurplus.com and click on the region you are looking for or your state.
