Leaking Roof

This is an issue that can cost you a lot more over time than you would imagine. The longer you leave the problem to escalate the more damage the leaking roof will cause. If you have a small leak today, the next storm might blow off even more tiles, and that means that you will have to pay more when you hire roofing contractors to deal with the problem. A bucket on your loft is not the right way of dealing with the problem. As soon as you notice the leak get a professional to give you an opinion.
Sticking Doors
If your doors start sticking, it can be annoying first, but later you might find yourself locked in or out. A professional joiner can adjust your frames and doors and prevent further problems from occurring. Just imagine not being able to lock your front door, and having to stay home all day instead of going to work. Or worse, having to climb out of the window, as you cannot open the door.
Burst Pipes
I your pipes burst, you are likely to face a few hours of misery. Most home insurance companies cover this emergency, and that means that you can get a contractor out fast. However, if your pipes burst, you need to find a way of cutting off the water supply at the main switch, otherwise your entire home, including your furnishings will be destroyed by the time the emergency repair contractor gets to you. If you still have water flowing, it is important to turn off the electricity in the house, to prevent further problems and accidents.
Broken Boiler

If your boiler gives up on you, your life will turn upside down. No hot water or heating if you have a family can be a nightmare. At the first sign of boiler problems, get in touch with your heating engineer, or you will find yourself heating up bath water in a cold house. Dealing with a faulty boiler is one of the most essential home repairs you will need to deal with. Turn off the water supply to the boiler and all the radiators, and wait for the rescue.
Tripping Electricity
If your electricity is not up to date, or the wiring is not right, you need to address the issue before it gets worse. You might have a damaged wire that causes the problem, and if you don’t get an electrician to look at the switches and plugs, you might have an electric fire in the future.
Whether you are have an old or new home, within seven years you are likely to face one of the issues above. When you do, don’t put off dealing with the problem, or you will have to face huge home repair bills.
