When You Don’t Love The Skin You’re In

There are a few things that people notice about us first, and skin is one of them. And if there’s one thing that we all feel a little bit self-conscious about at some point. It’s our skin. Whether it be during our teenage years when we’re breaking out every other week, or whether it be something we’re born with that we just can’t get rid of. But all we know is that when something is wrong with your skin, you definitely won’t like walking around with it.

It can affect you so much so that you don’t even want to leave the house. But know that you’re not alone with this insecurity, and nearly everyone that you speak to will have some form of an opinion about their skin, and it won’t always be positive. Conditions We’re Born With

If you’re born with a skin condition, then you will definitely argue that it’s so much worse than the next section that we’re going to talk about. Because when you think about a genetic condition, it’s usually one that can’t be cured, it’s just an ongoing condition that’s either really easy to deal with or really not. One of the conditions that this definitely sums up, is psoriasis.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for it just yet, but it is becoming easier to manage, sufferers report. Guselkumab is one of the treatments currently being used at the minute to control the symptoms, and that’s the best that you can do. Some people with genetic conditions really don’t put the effort into proper control of their condition, yet wonder why severe flare-ups occur. 

The Conditions We’re Creating

There are some skin conditions that we’re big culprits for creating ourselves, and the biggest is acne and spot breakouts. Because how many of you will admit that you have a really good skincare routine, or do you just wash your face once a day and put your makeup on? If so, then it’s no wonder that you sometimes suffer.

A good skincare routine really is priceless. It starts with basic daily scrubs and moisturizers, especially during the winter months. You then need to think about using a daily toner to keep your skin blemishes and impurities at bay and keep makeup application to a minimum. As they say, less really is more, but some of us like to put a fair amount of makeup on each day, which only clogs up the pores. So you need to think about keeping the foundation to a minimum, using medium coverage as they’re not usually as thick. Drinking enough water is something you need to practice as well because keeping the skin hydrated is only going to keep blemishes at bay, and keeps it subtle.
