Updated 11.24.2024 – Unfortunately, it appears Sissifun has gone out of business. Therefore I have removed the links to their website from this post.
As long as I have had children, I have dreamed of being a Nana to my children’s children – making their birthdays and the holidays as magical and wonderful as my own Nana and Grandad did for my brother and sister, and I.
I have the house decorated, Ami’s 1st Christmas ornaments ordered, I’m making a stocking for her, and will have a beautiful fuzzy soft carpet in the living room that she can crawl around on with her daddy and open presents.
The only problem, however, is her mother has not allowed us to see her since she was 3 months old. She will be 10 months old on December 18. I am forever an optimist though, and I’ve been praying and hoping that she will allow her frozen heart to thaw slightly and allow us to spend time with her over the holidays.
Since I am being optimistic, I’ve also been shopping. A gift here, a gift there, ever hopeful that I will be able to give them to her before she’s outgrown them. I fell in love with this website, Sissifun, and it has become a personal favorite where I can go and visit and imagine our little Ami wearing all of these adorable outfits. Here are a few that are in the shopping cart right now waiting for me to decide on one or two or all of them!
Christmas Dresses
Rompers & Sets
These adorable sets and rompers are just what Ami is going to need to make it through the winter months with the cold temps we are sure to experience and, of course, still look as cute as a button!
Leggings
I am a firm believer that no child, teenager, or woman can ever have too many leggings, and these are just too cute for words!
Outerwear
Last but not least, we definitely need some warm sweaters for a trip to the corner store, or something more substantial for playing in the snow (God willing we get some). I just know she’s going to be completely enthralled with the snow when she’s able to experience it and get out and play in it!
You see what I mean? So many adorable choices, I simply can’t decide. I might just end up buying one of everything at this rate!
As I said, I am ever optimistic that her mother will relent and finally allow us to spend time with our first grandchild during the holidays. Until then, we wish you and yours a very Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas with your littles!
Those dresses are beautiful! I wish they had had them when my granddaughter was born.
