One absolute MUST for me when we were looking for a home last November was that it had to have a dishwasher. After 15+ years of having a dishwasher, I was not about to go back to doing dishes by hand.
I am particular about my dishwashers. It’s a given that they need to get dishes sparkling clean because I am NOT the type to wash them before throwing the dishes in the dishwasher. They also need to be roomy enough to handle dishes, cups, saucers, pots, pans, cutting boards, long-handled serving spoons – you know – normal things you use when making a meal at home for the fam.
Something I’m NOT particularly fond of? Needing something from the dishwasher and waiting patiently for the cycle to finish and then yanking the door open to get out what I need. The steam that shoots out at you is HOT, and anyone who wears glasses knows you will be temporarily blinded by the steam for a few moments!
If Bosch was a person I’d be giving them a gigantic bear hug right about now. They have seriously raised the bar when it comes to dishwashers. I would honestly go so far as to say I’m in love with this dishwasher.

The only thing missing from this dishwasher would be for a little robot to pop out when the cycle was finished and put them away for me. Oh wait, that’s what teenagers are for! 🙂

24/7 Aquastop® – Protect your floors. This 4-part leak prevention system uses sensors to detect and stop leaks, and can even turn on by itself. This is another must-have feature for us because of teenagers. Who think regular dish soap works in dishwashers.
44-dBA Noise Level Rating – wash dishes in peace. There is nothing more annoying than a noisy dishwasher that causes you to yell at the top of your voice to be heard. Bosch dishwashers are so quiet, you have to check the exterior infolight® to know they’re on! There is nothing more frustrating for me (or argument inducing) than having my husband open the dishwasher to get a glass, seeing a spot, and throwing it back in the sink with dirty dishes. Gah!
