I've always loved Silent Night. It's a classic and I know all 3 verses!
Giggles … me too Linda!
O Holy Night is my favorite Christmas song because it hits home to me about the true meaning of Christmas.
I love the Christmas song "Sleigh Ride". Ever since I learned to play it as a part of the high school orchestra I fell in love with it. Thanks for the chance and for such a great giveaway!
My favorite Christmas song is Joy to the World because it is a song just filled with joy – an attitude that we should all have during this season.
Silver Bells is a favourite of mine.
My favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night because it has a beautiful meloy and powerful words.
My favorite Christmas song would be Silent Night because my mom loved that song & she would sing it often just around the house! π It makes me think of her when I hear that song.
I'm the same way Sally only it's my Nana … I don't remember my mom singing Christmas carols much … but let Elvis or Buddy Holly come on the radio and mom turned into a dancing fool lol! Another favorite that I remember from that first Christmas Eve candlelit service with my Nana was "O' Little Town of Bethlehem" and "Away in a Manger." I actually cry every time I hear any of those three. What a sap, huh?
My all time favorite Christmas song has always been Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer. I identified with this song as a child since I was always bullied. This is why I still love this song until today!
Thank you so much for sharing that with us, Esperanza!!! I was bullied in school too β hated it β so I can relate! Hugs to you and Merry Christmas!
My favorite song has always been Jingle Bells. It’s upbeat and catchy, and it’s fun to sing the alternate versions that have popped up over the years.
My favorite song is Santa Claus is coming to town. I remember singing this song when I was little. We would all stand around singing with my grandparents. Great memory’s
I love Chris Tomlin! Amazing and inspirational.
Yes he is Debbie! Heβs become a new favorite of mine!
My favorite Christmas carol is Silent Night. It was one of the first I remember singing as a child and is so peaceful and carries the truth of Christmas.
Silent Night is one of the few Christmas hymns that I know all three verses by heart. Ask my kids – it is what I sang to all of them as babies and toddlers to help them sleep at night! That was their lullaby song lol! I love it too, it was one of my beloved Nana’s favorite Christmas hymns. β₯
My favorite Christmas song is Silent Night because the words are the true meaning of Christmas.
See my response to Velva lol!
One of my favorite Christmas songs is White Christmas. When I was a child, my Granny used to play it on her organ and sing it. She passed away when I was 10. It reminds me of her π
Aren’t those memories of our Grannies and Nanas bittersweet during the holidays, Heather? I have epilepsy so my long-term and short-term memory is meh at best … but when the holidays roll around, I can remember almost every single detail of Christmas morning and Christmas Day at Nana’s house!
I love Silent Night
LOL Kim … that seems to be a favorite of a few of us. I know my kids think I'm absolutely nuts because it can be the middle of August, 100 degrees outside, and I'm piddling around the house cleaning or folding laundry and I'll start singing that out of the clear blue. I think whenever my subconcious starts to think about my nana I sing it. I have a favorite memory tied to that song … my very first Christmas Eve candlelit service was with my Nana … and that was the only song that I knew all the words to … we stood side by side and sang our hearts out. We probably sounded like croaking frogs but to us we were making beautiful music!
I love the song Mary did you know, it just brings my heart to Thank her so much for doing what she did, to carry our Lord and Savior..
OMG Dorothy – that is such a beautiful song! Have you heard Pentatonix sing it? Gives me goose bumps and brings tears to my eyes every time I hear them sing it – https://youtu.be/ifCWN5pJGIE. It's a beautiful video!
