Keep ornaments to a minimum

As tempting as it is to put your wares on display, a shelf full of trinkets and ornaments can be a little jarring in a small room. Instead of showing everything you own off at the same time, you could alternate the photos and keepsakes on your shelves. By doing this you also keep the room feeling new and fresh. It’s especially nice to swap things around with the change of season; bring in the new! If you do want to keep ornaments up all year around – choose bigger styles. Small objects can just make a room look smaller.

Bring the outside in

If you are living in a tiny apartment or flat and you don’t have access to a garden, you can some days miss the outdoors. Fresh and beautiful greenery in your space will instantly breathe new life into it and create a lovely focal point for visitors. Don’t pack hundreds of plants in too tightly, though. Simply go to the garden center, choose your favorite and then give that your attention.

If you do decide to do this then keep the colors you use light and airy; you don’t want anything too dense. There are so many gorgeous wallpapers to choose from and it’ll give a little room a unique finish. If you don’t want to decorate the ceiling, you could consider putting up bookshelves nearer to the top of the wall that the center. Again this is a great way to draw the eye up and it also gives you another storage option!

As well as keeping your lighting options varied, make the most of natural light with a Made Blinds. By dressing a small window well, you’ll give off the desirable spacious feeling that you so crave. There are so many options to choose from but again, keep the color light to create the illusion of space and have fun with it!

Use clear accessories

If you find yourself cursing to yourself in a crowded bathroom in the morning, you might want to invest in a clear shower curtain. A vibrant and loud looking curtain is of course, very pretty but it can make a small bathroom look a little busy. Keep things simple and opt for clear one. Outside of the bathroom, lucite furniture can again create the illusion of space. Instead of choosing a dark wood coffee table, why not opt for glass or even white.
