Not everyone is happy to admit that they’ve had cosmetic surgery. But, some celebrities openly embrace it. Here are a few that might surprise you.
Ariel Winter
The 17-year old Modern Family actress underwent breast reduction surgery, similar to the type of surgery offered by KRPlasticSurgery.com. Winter told Glamour Magazine that she made the decision after years of back pain and discomfort growing up in the spotlight and in front of the camera.
Today, she feels “right,” saying that it’s hard when you’re a teen girl and you’re always being ridiculed for something.
Iggy Azalea
Azalea has talked openly about having her nose done in Seventeen. The celeb is quoted as saying “I’m not denying it, denying it is lame.” There’s always things she’s not liked about herself but she was able to change that through surgery.
The rapper has also admitted to other plastic surgeries, like breast enlargement (augmentation).
Jillian Michaels
Jillian Michaels, the fitness guru, has admitted to going under the knife – specifically to have her nose altered. According to Michaels, it changed her life.
Lisa Kudrow
The former Friends star turned Scandal actress has admitted to a nose job in high school. Like most celebs who have gotten plastic surgery, it was a life-changer.
Jane Seymour
The actress isn’t shy about having plastic surgery, saying that she’s had just enough surgery to replace “what the kids ate.” When it comes to liposuction, however, she uses good old-fashioned diet and exercise.
Ashlee Simpson
Ashlee Simpson is more shy than most about plastic surgery, saying, “As long as people have two eyes, you probably know the answer.”
Betty White
Who knew? The 93-year-old “Golden Girl” has said on previous occasions that it’s not nice to fool Mother Nature, but admits to having her eyelids done.
Patricia Heaton
The Middle actress admits to having a breast reduction and a tummy tuck. Why? For one reason only: vanity. After four children, she felt like her body wasn’t what she wanted it to be, so she had extensive work to fit into the gowns that she finally got to wear as an actress.
Kelly Rowland
The singer admitted to breast implants back in 2013. Originally, she wanted them when she was 18, but her mom and Beyonce’s mother told her to really think through the decision. She did. 10 years later, she had the surgery done.
Kris Jenner
Sometimes, even a Kardashian needs some help. Jenner let E! cameras record her facelift procedure in 2011. In addition to the facelift, she also let millions of fans watch as she underwent a second breast augmentation for the show in 2012.
What To make Of It All?
When a celebrity gets plastic surgery, it’s tempting to think that there’s something wrong with the person’s psychology. But, that’s not necessarily true. Sure, sometimes the stated reason for getting “work done” seems unusual. But, at the end of the day, celebrities still want to look fabulous. They have insecurities like everyone else. And, they have the means to change what they don’t like about themselves. And that is something to applaud.
