Did you have a great Mother’s Day? I hope that you did. I was blessed to be able to spend it not only with my family, but with some very dear friends as well.
My own mother passed away in 1992 when I was just 25 years old. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful women that have been a mother figure to me – Joyce, Marlena, Faerie (not her real name), Chickie (not her real name), Lauralynn … I could go on and on. I could write for hours about each of these wonderful ladies. They have been there for me through various stages of my life and each of them have helped me in their own unique, wonderful way – and I love them dearly for helping to mold me into the woman I am today.

ProFlowers believes as I do – that every mother should be celebrated. Not just for Mother’s Day, but every day. So I was honored when they asked me to help them #CelebrateEveryMom. I believe, as they do, that every mom in your life should be celebrated, whether that’s your sister who is a great Mom to your niece, your best friend who recently gave birth to her first child, or your mother-in-law who raised your hubby to be the man he is today. They wanted to help me say thanks to three special ladies in my life. While I received these bouquets in exchange for this review – all thoughts and opinions are entirely my own, as usual.
What I love about ProFlowers is that all of our bouquets arrived in bud form. Instead of receiving flowers that were already in full bloom and would only last at most a handful of days, our arrangements all arrived in bud form on May 7, 2015. Watching them bloom over the past several days has truly been a breathtaking experience.
Each of the bouquets came beautifully boxed with their vases, two packets of flower food, and a gift card.
Angela Kelley
Angela is a very special lady to not only me, but to my husband and children as well. She is the property manager for The Pines at Cold Harbor and the mother to Ashley and Blake. Angela is “Momma Angie” to not only my family, but to all of the children in our neighborhood. She watches over each of them as though they were her own and my boys know that if we are not around, Momma Angie has free reign to discipline or reward them as the case may be! I knew right away that the Mom’s Deluxe Bouquet from ProFlowers was exactly what she would love.
Angela is a phenomenal woman. She lost her husband, Anthony, when her children were young and she has never remarried. Her heart still belongs to her husband, and probably always will. I admire that kind of love and commitment, it is the same type of love and commitment that my own parents had. Angela supported and raised her children as a single mother, and dealt with all of the issues that come with raising children. She shoots straight from the hip, tells you what’s on her mind, and she does not tolerate any foolishness. She is kind and passionate and her faith in God could move mountains. I love her dearly and she has always been there for me when I needed an ear to bend or a shoulder to cry on. Love you Momma Angie!
Brandy Peters-Pryor
Brandy is another amazing woman that I have had the pleasure of knowing for several years. She is the assistant manager at The Pines at Cold Harbor and is mom to Savannah, Dani, Katie, and a beautiful little angel in heaven. Brandy is also a “newlywed” (less than a year) and constantly amazes me at how she juggles being mom to three busy daughters with extra-curricular activities, a wife to Linwood, and handling her duties every day at work. Brandy loves lilies, so I was thrilled to be able to send her the Stargazer Lilies Bouquet from ProFlowers for Mother’s Day. They are truly magnificent, and as you can see, there are still many more blooms to open!
Danielle Breidigan
Danielle is my sister, and a daily inspiration to me. As soon as I saw the Deluxe Spring Tulips and Lilies Bouquet from ProFlowers, I knew this was the one she would love the most. Our mother loved tulips, and lilies hold a very special meaning for my sister and my dad. My sister is 15 years younger than me, but she has lived a thousand lifetimes already. She has been to the darkest depths that a lesser soul would never have recovered from, and she has struggled and fought her way out of the darkness to the beautifully blessed life that she has now. My beloved sister is wife to Kenny, and mom to Vanessa, Jae-Lynn, Jasmine, and Shane – in addition to several cats, dogs, and chickens. There might even be a duck floating around here and there and if she has her way, a baby piglet or a parrot before too long!
Danielle and I did a FaceTime chat the day that her flowers arrived, and she wept when she opened them and saw how beautiful they were and how special the flowers were to her made me cry. Two blubbering girls on FaceTime – that’s a very Happy Mother’s Day indeed! I love you sis … a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!
This is the beautiful arrangement that I received from ProFlowers – the Beauty and Grace Bouquet. I think the name matches the flower arrangement beautifully! My flowers have literally exploded out of their vase with such vibrant, beautiful flowers, that I’ve caught myself several times just sitting there staring at their beauty and inhaling the wonderful scent.
